Western Thrace Minority University Graduates Association issues a message for the academic year

Western Thrace Minority University Graduates Association (WTMUGA) issued a statement on the occasion of the new academic year.

In the statement made by WTMUGA, "Modern education is an indispensable element in shaping our social life and determining our steps towards the future. We believe that you, our dear students, the guarantee of our future, will lead our Minority to the highest level in the light of the education and knowledge they receive in schools." The statement of WTMUGA is as follows:

"Dear students, esteemed members of our education community, dear parents;

After a long holiday, we are excited to start a new academic year and say hello to a brand new beginning in every aspect. Our greatest desire is to spend the 2023-2024 academic year in peace, tolerance, love and solidarity. Contemporary education is an indispensable element in shaping our social life and determining our steps towards the future. We believe that you, our dear students, the guarantee of our future, will lead our Minority to the highest level in the light of the education and knowledge they receive in schools.

We are aware of the need to work day and night for the formation of individuals who will add value to our minority, who can think critically, have high self-confidence and generate brand new ideas, and have a broad vision.

In today's world where everything is changing rapidly and expectations, demands and professions are in constant change, we endeavour to do our best in the field of education. We consider the right to education of our children living in the remotest corner of our Western Thrace as sacred.

Dear Students; success is a phenomenon that can be achieved depending on multiple factors. Responsibility, planned work, determination and self-confidence are indispensable for success. Also, love your teachers, your school, each other and avoid harmful habits. You are the basic building blocks of education. As long as you are successful, we will be happy and peaceful and we will look to our future with confidence.

Dear teachers, you have the most important role in preparing our children for the future. Our families entrust their children, their most precious assets, into your hands. Your main duty is to raise these children with moral, humanitarian and universal values, to teach them the knowledge and skills they will need in life. Your first interlocutor is your students. Therefore, love them, respect them, care for them and make them feel that they are important. Do not forget that they have been handed over to you to be raised and that they may make mistakes.

With these thoughts, we wish success to our teachers, students and the education community and hope that the 2023-2024 academic year will be full of health, happiness, peace and success."
