Warning! Bad weather conditions coming
Minister of Civil Protection and Climate Crisis Christos Stilyanidis made a statement regarding the expected bad weather conditions in the coming days.
Reminding that meteorologists warned about heavy rain, storm and hail in places, Stilyanidis informed and warned citizens not to travel in areas with bad weather conditions unless there is an emergency.
Stating that bad weather conditions that will affect the country should not be taken lightly, Stilyanidis said that the 112 emergency warning system will be activated when necessary and citizens will be informed instantly.
Stilyanidis invited all authorized units to be prepared and emphasized that precautions should be taken especially against the possibility of flooding.
The 112 emergency warning system was activated at noon on Wednesday, and it was announced that the expected bad weather conditions would also affect the Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Region.
