Stormy weather subsides, sunshine returns across Greece

Weather conditions are set to improve significantly across most of Greece on Thursday, October 9, following local showers and isolated storms expected early in the day in the eastern Aegean islands and the Dodecanese. These areas will see a quick return to clearer skies as the day progresses.
Elsewhere in the country, sunshine will dominate, with only a few scattered clouds. Temperatures will rise slightly, bringing generally pleasant conditions nationwide.

Thessaly: 6°C to 22–23°C
Epirus: 6°C to 20°C
Other mainland regions: 8°C to 22–24°C
Ionian Islands: 10°C to 20–21°C
Aegean islands & Crete: 11°C to 21–23°C
Winds:
Winds will blow mainly from the northwest, reaching up to 4 Beaufort over mainland areas and the Ionian Sea, and up to 5 Beaufort in the Aegean. Stronger westerly winds of 5–6 Beaufort are expected near Kastellorizo.
Athens (Attica): Sunny skies are forecast, with northwest to west winds at 2–4 Beaufort. Temperatures will range from 12°C to 21–22°C.
Thessaloniki: Partly cloudy with northwest winds at 3–5 Beaufort. Temperature range: 10°C to 20°C.
