Greece considers new ‘112’ alert system to protect elderly from fraud

Greece is considering a new mass-alert system similar to “112” to warn elderly citizens about rising fraud schemes involving fake accountants, utility workers and other impersonators. Authorities are also examining legislative changes and a specialized police unit to tackle organized fraud.
