Türkiye denies Ilhan Ahmet's post
The Centre for Combating Disinformation of the Directorate of Communications of the Republic of Türkiye refuted the statement made by the MP for Rodopi Ilhan Ahmet.
The Centre for Combating Disinformation stated in a statement that Ilhan Ahmet's post titled "Statement to our people after the decision of the Turkish media ombudsman" does not reflect the truth.
The Turkish Presidential Communications Directorate's Centre for Combating Disinformation released the following statement:
"The posts made on some social media accounts with the title 'Turkey Media Ombudsman decision' are disinformation. In the alleged posts, it has been determined that there are claims that 'the media ombudsman organisation in Türkiye is an independent and reputable organisation and that it has made decisions on some names'. There is no media ombudsman institution or organisation in Turkey that makes decisions on behalf of individuals and news. The statements characterised as 'decision' in the post are personal opinions. Do not rely on unfounded allegations."
