Traditional Hıdrellez Festival in Ilıca-Xanthi
The Hıdrellez Festival, organized by the Xanthi Turkish Union with the contributions of the Mustafçova (Miki) Municipality, took place in the village of Ilıca on Saturday, May 6th.
The family members showed great interest in the Hıdrellez festival, which was held for the 19th time this year in the Thermal Hot Springs (Banyolar) neighborhood of Ilıca village.
In addition to the intense interest of the cognates, the Mufti of Xanthi Mustafa Trampa, Xanthi Deputies Hüseyin Zeybek and Burhan Baran, the Mayor of Miki (Mustafçova) Rıdvan Deli Hüseyin, the main opposition People's Movement Chairman of the Municipality of Mustafçova Cemil Kabza, the President of the Xanthi Turkish Union Ozan Ahmetoğlu, FEP Party representatives and many other guests attended.
Xanthi Turkish Union music groups and folklore teams were watched with great admiration in Hıdrellez events.
ITB youth offered traditional “Gölle” (Boiled corn) and Turkish Coffee to the participants.
Xanthi Turkish Union President Ozan Ahmetoğlu, MPs Hüseyin Zeybek and Burhan Baran and Xanthi Mufti Mustafa Trampa took the floor and celebrated the spring festival of the compatriots.
