Traditional Hıdırellez event from Dinkler Hanımeli Association
Many cognates from the region attended the event in Dinkler (Filia) village of the Municipality of Avdira. Traditional “gölle” (Corn) was served to the guests at the event. While the folk dance team of the association gave performances, the Hanımeli Dinkler Choir sang songs.
While children and young people were having fun with the traditional competitions, the darbuka-rhythm group under the direction of Gönen Molla, who continues to work in the Xanthi Branch of the Western Thrace Minority Graduates Association, also gave a show.
Among those who attended the Hıdırellez event of the Hanımeli Association were Mufti of Xanthi Mustafa Trampa, Xanthi SYRIZA Deputy Hüseyin Zeybek, Xanthi PASOK Deputy Burhan Baran, Bulustra (Avdira) Mayor Yorgos Tsitiridis, mayoral candidate Athanasios Kritsinis, Xanthi Turkish Union Deputy Chairman Sevil Şerifoğlu, and many guests.
