Topsidis meets with Kavala Chamber of Commerce to discuss market, Agriculture, and investments

Regional Governor of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace (EMT), Christodoulos Topsidis, held a meeting with the leadership of the Kavala Chamber of Commerce, focusing on issues related to the market, the agricultural sector, and investments.

The meeting took place at the office of the Chamber’s President, Yiannis Panagiotidis, and was attended by Deputy Regional Governor of Kavala Theodoros Markopoulos, Deputy Regional Governor for Development Alexandros Iosifidis, Regional Advisor for Sports Stelios Ignatiadis, and Lazaros Tsatambasidis, CEO of the Regional Development Organization of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace. Members of the Chamber’s administrative board were also present.

Discussions placed particular emphasis on the Chamber’s building project, digital transformation programs, and the modernization of equipment. Special reference was made to the challenges facing the primary sector and farmers, with President Panagiotidis stressing that the Chamber views primary sector enterprises as an integral part of the broader business community, given their direct links to processing, craftsmanship, and industry in the region.

It was noted that chambers of commerce across the region share a common objective: strengthening development and ensuring the sustainability of the local economy.

For his part, Governor Topsidis highlighted the crucial role of chambers of commerce as institutional representatives of entrepreneurship and underscored the importance of close cooperation between the chambers, the regional administration, municipalities, and the central government. He emphasized that the region stands alongside businesses and professionals, particularly in a border region such as Eastern Macedonia and Thrace.
