"The situation in Rhodope is not good" exposes research
A small study in the Rhodope province has found that shop sales have fallen by 70 percent, while others are in an economic stalemate.
In the Rhodope region, tradesmen have been experiencing serious economic difficulties in recent years. A small-scale study reveals that the economic situations are getting worse for the tradesmen day by day.
Özgür Ferhat, Deputy Chairman of SYRIZA Rhodopi Provincial Organization, published a statement about the research.
Özgür Ferhat said, "The government's measures are not enough to revive the economy," and states the following in his statement:"According to a small study we conducted in our region's Rhodope province with our own resources, there is a decrease of up to seventy percent (70%) in retail sales in the shops of our local artisans compared to previous years.
This automatically leads to the closure of one-third of healthy businesses and establishments. It will cause the other two-thirds to suffocate under the economic burden.
First of all, this shows that citizens suffer a great loss of income and that their family budgets are no longer able to cover costs and expenses. Inflation and the cost of living have reached appalling proportions.
Our country is by far the first in high electricity and fuel prices, and the increase in prices of main food and necessities by almost forty-five percent in two years drags the citizens of the country into pessimism and economic stalemate.
The economic measures announced by the government are under the effect of "aspirin" and are in no way sufficient to stimulate the economy.
Strangely enough, the New Development and Growth Draft Law is being discussed in the parliament this week and it is expected to be implemented.
Unfortunately, the law does not include any development projects for Rhodope artisans, farmers, animal breeders, and young entrepreneurs.
The government, which increased the country's deficit by 48 billion Euros with different substances in two and a half years, could not even give 300 million aid to the farmers.
After this determination, you should also consider the aid that cannot be given to other business groups.
In short, “same bath, same bowl”. Unfortunately, this situation cannot be reversed unless a new vision, a new policy and economic stability are developed.
Now, it is the time to create our own social and political conditions.
It is time for us to say stop and move forward with the mentality and individuals who failed in politics and administration in general and locally, could not protect the welfare and interests of the people, and could not renew them. Change is necessary."
