Independent Rhodope MP Özgür Ferhat has raised concerns in the Greek Parliament over staffing shortages at the Rhodope National Emergency Aid Center (EKAB), calling on the government to strengthen emergency medical services in the region.

According to Ferhat, the shortage of ambulance personnel has placed increasing pressure on emergency healthcare services and could affect response times for residents requiring urgent medical assistance.

The lawmaker urged the government to proceed with the necessary recruitment of additional staff to reinforce the Rhodope Ambulance Unit and ensure uninterrupted emergency medical coverage for local communities.

The issue has highlighted ongoing concerns over healthcare staffing and emergency service capacity in the region.
