Greek police have identified six Greek nationals believed to be responsible for a series of thefts targeting shops and vehicles in the regions of Kavala and İskeçe, authorities announced.

Following an investigation conducted by officers of the Public Security Unit of the Kavala Crime Investigation Department, the suspects were found to have acted in coordination during October and November 2025. A criminal case has been filed against them for aggravated theft offenses.

Details of the Crimes

According to police findings, the suspects are linked to:

  • 8 thefts from commercial shops, involving property damage
  • 8 vehicle thefts, including cars and motorcycles
  • 3 motorcycle thefts
  • 1 theft of a protective helmet
  • 1 attempted vehicle theft

During the shop burglaries, the suspects allegedly stole cash, cigarette packs, and alcoholic beverages, among other items.

Recovered Vehicles and Seized Evidence

As part of the ongoing investigation, and in cooperation with officers from the Kavala Migration Management Department and the İskeçe Crime Investigation Department, police recovered:

  • Stolen cars and motorcycles
  • The stolen protective helmet

Additionally, clothing items and a flashlight believed to have been used during the crimes were seized.

Case Referred to Prosecutor

The completed case file will be submitted to the Public Prosecutor of Kavala First Instance Court for further legal proceedings.
