Three arrested in İskeçe as police solve 31 theft cases
The suspects were arrested during the morning of August 24 in a settlement in the İskeçe area by officers from the Public Security Team, working alongside officers from the Prevention and Mediation Team of the İskeçe Department for the Prosecution and Investigation of Crimes.
According to police, the three suspects allegedly acted together, in different combinations and with an unidentified accomplice, targeting businesses and homes across İskeçe.
24 business thefts and two burglaries reported
Police investigations established that the suspects were allegedly involved in 24 thefts from shops and businesses and two thefts from homes.
Among the items reportedly stolen were cash, tobacco products, electrical appliances and clothing.
In five additional cases, the suspects allegedly stole necklaces from women.
The total number of cases investigated by police therefore stands at 31, including the five incidents involving stolen necklaces.
Clothing used during alleged thefts seized
As part of the investigation, police located and seized clothing that the suspects allegedly wore while carrying out the thefts.
Authorities said the arrests followed the effective use of investigative information and a detailed investigation conducted by officers.
The İskeçe Department for the Prosecution and Investigation of Crimes is continuing the preliminary investigation into the case.
