Turkey's Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) organizes "Dr. Sadik Ahmet Commemoration Program on the 75th Anniversary of His Birth".

YTB commemorates the late leader Sadik Ahmet of the Western Thrace Turks, with a series of events on the 75th anniversary of his birth.

A book was prepared by YTB to introduce the legacy left by Doctor Sadik Ahmet to future generations. The book, which consists of the articles of academics and experts, draws attention to the Turks of Western Thrace and the problems they experience, while there are sections about Sadik Ahmet's life, struggle and legacy of lawsuits. In the last part of the book, interviews with prominent personalities who have memories of Sadık Ahmet are included.

On the occasion of the launch of the book, a commemoration program will be held at the Presidential Complex National Library Conference Hall in Ankara on January 7, 2022 for the 75th birthday of Doctor Sadik Ahmet.

In the program, the video prepared about Sadik Ahmet's life and struggle will be shown to the guests.

A group of Western Thrace Turkish Minority students will sing the Sadik Ahmet Anthem in the program, which will continue with the performances of Sadik Ahmet's favorite folk songs by Ankara State Turkish Folk Music Choir artists.

In the program where Sadık Ahmet's family will attend as a special guest, personal belongings of Sadık Ahmet will also be exhibited outside the conference hall.

A collar badge was prepared for the program, inspired by the necklace that Sadık Ahmet made for his sister when he was working as a jeweler's apprentice during his high school education.

In addition, the PTT issued two different personal stamps in memory of Sadik Ahmet. The prepared badges and stamps will be presented to the participants of the program as gifts.

Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, YTB President Abdullah Eren, the editor of the book Nilüfer Erdem and Sadik Ahmet's son Levent Sadik Ahmet will each attend the program and make speeches.
