Özgür Ferhat visited Athens GAT Organization

SYRIZA Central Executive Committee Member Özgür Ferhat visited the Athens GAT Organization, which gathers Western Thrace students studying in Athens under one roof.

SYRIZA Party Central Executive Committee Member and Rhodope Provincial Dentists Association Vice-President Özgür Ferhat visited Athens Young Academics Association (GAT) Organization, which operates under the Western Thrace Minority Higher Education Association (BTAYTD) within the scope of its Athens contacts.

In a very friendly atmosphere Ferhat talked to students, listened them and exchanged information about news in education. Ferhat later informed the students about their political work and the general elections to be held.

Making a statement about the visit from his social media account, SYRIZA MYK Member Özgür Ferhat said:

"Within the scope of the program I held in the capital Athens, I had the opportunity to visit the Athens organization of the young academics community. During our meeting with our university students, we had the opportunity to discuss current issues and listen to the thoughts and suggestions of our young people. These young people are the future of Western Thrace Minority.

We welcome the political stability that our youth will provide to our society at the meeting where we informed about my political work and upcoming elections. In addition, since I personally completed my higher education in Athens in the past and I have first-hand knowledge of a Minority student's problems of settlement, livelihood, adaptation and daily life, we talked with our youth about these issues and evaluated the steps that can be taken for the future.

I would like to thank our young people, who gave me these emotional memories to come alive, thank the GAT Athens organization board of directors and all our students through them and wish them success in all their studies and academic careers."
