Minister Mendoni to inspect Beyazıt Mosque in Dimetoka
Culture and Sports Minister Lina Mendoni is visiting Western Thrace.
Mendoni, who will make contacts in the Rhodope and Evros provinces, will also inspect the Beyazıt Mosque (Sultan Çelebi Mehmet Mosque), which was seriously damaged in the fire that broke out five years ago.
Starting her visit to Western Thrace from Komotini on Saturday, June 25 (Today), Mendoni will also attend the opening of the Alexandroupoli Archeology Museum.
In the program shared by the minister's press office, it was stated that Mendoni will conduct inspections at the Beyazıt Mosque in Dimetoka on Sunday, June 26 at 17.00.
Recently, the Central Archaeological Institute of Greece accepted the technical report prepared for the restoration of the historical Sultan Çelebi Mehmet Mosque in Dimetoka, which burned down in 2017.
