Mesi Beach: lifesaving intervention in a near drowning
The worst was avoided on the beach of Mesi, thanks to the timely intervention of a lifeguard. As informed "X" by a reader who was in the area, a woman allegedly fainted in the sea. Immediate was the response of a beach bar employee of the beach, who informed the lifeguard, who in turn pulled the woman out of the sea and provided her with first aid, literally saving her.
At the same time, the ambulance was informed, which at most in 10 minutes was at the beach, continuing to provide first aid to our fellow citizen and taking her directly to the Hospital of Komotini, where she was hospitalized out of danger and the necessary tests were done. We note that this year during the summer months, thanks to the cooperation between the EKAB-Limeniko-Municipality of Komotini, an EKAB ambulance is "stationed" during the summer months in Fanari, where it has the ability to intervene more quickly in emergencies.
