A meeting on limiting uncontrolled waste disposal was held at the former Rodopi Prefecture building in Komotini on February 26, 2025. The session took place in the "Georgos Pavlidis" Conference Hall and brought together representatives from various institutions and organizations.
Among the attendees was Mayor of Iasmos (Yassıköy), Caner Imam, who participated in discussions aimed at addressing waste management issues in Eastern Macedonia and Thrace.
In a statement regarding the event, the Municipality of Iasmos said:
"Mayor Caner Imam attended the cooperation meeting held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, to address the issue of limiting uncontrolled waste disposal in the Eastern Macedonia and Thrace region."
