Meaningful event heald at Xanthi Cultural Centre
The event held at the WTMUGA Xanthi Cultural Centre on Saturday evening, 21 October, attracted great interest of the kinsmen.
The opening speech of the programme, which was hosted by Senemahu Topuz, was made by WTMUGA President Hüseyin Baltacı. Afterwards, Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye in Komotini Aykut Ünal greeted the participants and expressed his great honour to be together with the kinsmen in such a programme on the 100th anniversary of the Republic.
The programme started with a minute of silence. Then the "Republic" theatre show took the stage. The actors of the theatre show are Prompter Umeyr KABZA, Grandfather Halil TELATOĞLU, Granddaughter Ada DEMİROĞLULLARI, Nene Hatun İzgi Berra PEÇENİK, Safiye Nurse Azra MALKOÇ, Sütçü İmam İzzet HALİL, Elif Azra KEHAYA, Mehmet Akif Ersoy Demirkan BALTACI, Seyit Onbaşı Beyazıt AVCI, Şerife Bacı Azra BOZOĞLU, Unnamed Heroes Hüseyin HACIOĞLU, Fikri KADRI, Hasan HACIİMAM, Cenk YILMAZOĞLU and Eymen Sunay HATİP as Mustafa Kemal Atatürk received great applause with their outstanding performances.
After the theatre performance, the performances of our "SPECIAL" children, Ayça HAMKO and Ayberk ŞERİF (Sign Language), Belinay SALİ with her poem on 29 October, and Şeyme FERHATOĞLU (Sign Language and Reading) received a standing ovation.
Afterwards, WTMUGA Miracle Theatre Children sang the song Atatürk's Children with great excitement and a high performance.
At the end of the programme, "Atatürk Poems" were recited by poets from Western Thrace.
The programme was highly appreciated and appreciated by the audience.
