Kozlukebir Municipality issues warning: “Do not use tap water”

In an official statement released today (Friday, December 13), the municipality urged locals to refrain from using water from the public network for drinking, cooking, or any household purposes, following chemical analysis results.
The municipality’s statement reads as follows:
“Dear Residents of Mehrikoz Village,
The Rodopi Regional Health Directorate's latest analysis of drinking water in Mehrikoz has revealed slightly elevated levels in certain parameters. As a precaution, the use of tap water for drinking and cooking is temporarily prohibited.
Our municipality is taking all necessary steps to resolve the issue. Starting tomorrow, the village's water tank will be cleaned and re-chlorinated. In the meantime, municipal tankers will supply water to the tank, and daily distribution of free drinking water to residents will continue until the issue is resolved.
We assure everyone that all possible efforts are being made to address the problem promptly. We thank the residents of Mehrikoz for their understanding and cooperation.”
The municipality emphasized its commitment to resolving the issue swiftly and ensuring public health safety.
