İskeçe Mufti’s religious studies talks continue for third year with strong participation
The Religious Studies Talks organized by the İskeçe Mufti’s Office for both women and men have been continuing uninterrupted for three years, drawing wide participation across the region.
The program, which makes a significant contribution to the spiritual life of the Turkish Minority of Western Thrace, is carried out under the guidance of Mustafa Trampa, President of the Advisory Committee of the Turkish Minority of Western Thrace and Mufti of İskeçe. According to organizers, the talks have maintained the same consistency and enthusiasm since their launch.
Held on a weekly basis, the Religious Studies Talks take place regularly in numerous mosques and villages throughout the İskeçe region. The content of the sessions is shaped according to seasonal conditions, local needs, and participants’ requests, while the core format includes question-and-answer discussions, Quran- and hadith-centered presentations, and contemporary religious and moral issues. This approach aims to foster an interactive, sincere, and benefit-oriented environment.
Talks for women are currently held in 38 different locations, while sessions for men take place in 12 locations. In some settlements, lessons for both groups are organized simultaneously. Among the villages and mosques hosting the talks are Ahiriyan, Alıtçılar, Amine Hatun, Balabanlı, Beyköy, Çınar Mosque, Demircik, Elmalı, Gökçeler, İnelli, Karaköy, Koyunköy, Mustafçova, Yenice, and Zeynelli.
The İskeçe Mufti’s Office stated that it aims to continue these lessons with determination, ensuring that all segments of society have access to religious knowledge and are spiritually strengthened. Citizens seeking detailed information about the schedule and locations of the Religious Studies Talks have been advised to contact the İskeçe Mufti’s Office directly.
