İskeçe issues entry cards for Old Town Festival traffic restrictions

The Municipality of İskeçe has announced the issuance of entry cards for residents and other eligible groups affected by traffic restrictions during the Old Town Festival, which will take place from August 30 to September 6, 2026.

The cards are intended to facilitate access to İskeçe’s Old Town during the festival period and will be available to permanent residents, cultural associations, delivery services and other eligible vehicle users.

Permanent residents
Permanent residents who have already applied for a Permanent Old Town Resident Card will be able to collect their cards for the festival period from the Municipality of İskeçe.

Those who have not yet applied can submit the required documents and collect their cards from the municipality’s Inspection Service at Democracy Square. Applications will be accepted Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Applicants must provide copies of the following documents:

• E1 tax declaration from the latest financial year
• E2 tax declaration from the latest financial year, if the residence is provided free of charge or through hosting
• A recent electronic rental agreement valid for at least one year from the application date, if the property is rented
• A recent utility bill for electricity, water or telephone service
• Vehicle registration certificate
• A signed declaration confirming the accuracy of the submitted information

Cultural associations and other eligible users

Cultural associations, delivery services and other categories requiring an entry card will be able to collect their cards from the Cultural Events Department of the Municipality of İskeçe’s Directorate of Culture, located on the fifth floor of the İskeçe Municipal Amphitheatre.

The cards can be collected Monday to Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Applicants in these categories must provide an official document proving ownership or legal use of the vehicle, depending on their circumstances.

The municipality has urged eligible residents and organizations to arrange for their cards in advance. Applications and card collection will take place between August 18 and August 30, 2026.
