Temporary traffic restrictions implemented on Stratou Avenue in İskeçe for water network upgrade
The Municipality of İskeçe has announced temporary traffic restrictions on Stratou Avenue, effective from Wednesday, January 14, 2026, due to ongoing redevelopment and essential water network upgrade works.
The traffic measures will be in effect intermittently until January 23, 2026. Specifically, from 08:00 to 16:00 daily, the lane from Kosynthos Bridge towards Dimokritou Street will be closed. The closure covers the section from the railway crossing at the intersection with Miaouli and Lachanokipon Streets up to the new junction.
Authorities advise drivers to follow all construction signage, exercise caution, and plan alternative routes to avoid congestion. The Municipality has requested public cooperation and understanding during this period of temporary disruption.
The project forms part of İskeçe’s broader urban redevelopment plan, aiming to improve water supply infrastructure and ensure long-term service reliability for residents and businesses in the area.
