Imam of Uysallı laid to rest

Hüseyin Molla Hasan, a well-respected figure in Western Thrace and a devoted advocate for the rights of the Turkish minority, was laid to rest. Known among the people as the "Imam of Uysallı," he was a prominent figure in the community’s struggle for its rights.
Passed Away in Germany
Hüseyin Molla Hasan passed away on Wednesday, February 5, while staying with his daughter in Germany. His funeral took place on Saturday, February 8, in the village of Uysallı, located in the Rhodope region of Western Thrace.
A Crowded Funeral Ceremony
Following the noon prayer, the funeral service was led by İbrahim Şerif, President of the Western Thrace Turkish Minority Advisory Board and Mufti of Komotini. The ceremony was attended by İsmail Dikme, an official from the Turkish Consulate in Komotini, Metin Hacıosman, Deputy Chairman of the DEB Party, Aydın Ahmet, President of the Western Thrace Turkish Teachers’ Union, Rıdvan Molla İsa, Advisor to the EMT Thrace Regional Presidency, Erdem Hüseyin, Mayor of Kozlukebir, and many fellow compatriots from surrounding villages.
The passing of Hüseyin Molla Hasan, a highly esteemed member of the Western Thrace Turkish community, was met with deep sorrow throughout the region.
