Human trafficker caught with 9 migrants in vehicle

A human trafficker transporting migrants who had entered Greece illegally was apprehended by border police in the Rhodope region.
On Saturday, August 17th, a trafficker transporting illegal migrants was caught on the Komotini-Xanthi Egnatia Highway by officers from the Yasıköy Border Protection Unit under the Rhodope Police Department.
The trafficker, who was reportedly a foreign national, was driving without a license and had 9 migrants in the vehicle.
The police confiscated the vehicle used to transport the migrants, as well as the trafficker's mobile phone. The arrested individual was taken to the Rhodope Prosecutor's Office for further legal proceedings.
