Homburg Western Thrace Turks association joins Turkish-German Tulip Festival
Homburg and Surrounding Region Western Thrace Turks Solidarity Association, a member of the Federation of Western Thrace Turks in Europe (ABTTF), participated in the 11th Turkish-German Tulip Festival organized by the Homburg Turkish Parents' Association on Sunday, April 27.
A UNIQUE FESTIVAL IN GERMANY
The festival, held at Homburg city park, is known as Germany's only tulip-themed cultural event. Attendees included ABTTF Vice President and Deputy Chair of the Homburg Association, Yakup Yakup Salih; Chair of the Homburg Association Women’s Branch, Kadriye Pile; and Deputy Chair Selin İmamoğlu.
WIDE COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION
The event attracted numerous local associations as well as guests from political and business circles, along with many families from the region. At the booth set up by the Homburg association, handcrafted photo frames made by children of the association’s members were exhibited, drawing considerable interest. The stand was also visited by the Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye in Mainz, Mehmet Akif İnam.
CULTURE, MUSIC, AND COMMUNITY
The festival, which ran until 6:00 PM, offered a lively Sunday filled with music and dance performances, a rich cultural program, and a variety of delicious foods, fostering a vibrant and inclusive community atmosphere.
