High turnout at the fundraiser held by Xanthi Central Turkish Primary School
The traditional fundraiser organized by the 6th grade of Xanthi Central Turkish Primary School took place on Sunday, November 17, and was met with significant interest from the local Turkish community.
Taking advantage of the sunny weather, residents of Xanthi gathered in large numbers to support the event.
Among the attendees were Turkey’s Consul General in Komotini, Aykut Ünal, and his wife İlayda Ünal; Deputy Consul Ali Tosun; Xanthi Mufti Mustafa Trampa; MP Burhan Baran; DEB Party President Çiğdem Asafoğlu; Xanthi Turkish Union President Ozan Ahmetoğlu; BTAYTD President Hüseyin Baltacı; students' parents, and many community members.
In a joint statement, the school’s Administrative Committee and Parent-Teacher Association expressed their gratitude:
“We are proud to have successfully hosted our traditional 6th-grade fundraiser. We extend our heartfelt thanks to our hardworking students, parents, and the principal and teachers who supported us until the very last moment. We are also deeply grateful to the esteemed guests and attendees who did not leave us alone on this special day.”
