The year-end hatim ceremonies of the Qur'an courses affiliated to the Mufti's Office of Xanthi continued this weekend.

On Sunday 28 April, hatim ceremonies were held in Bratankova and Basaykova villages of Mustafçova Municipality.

Thousands of people attended the hatim ceremonies organised in both villages.

BASAYKOVA

The ceremony was attended by the Mufti of Xanthi Mustafa Trampa, the Mayor of Mustafçova Ahmet Kurt and the minority MPs of Xanthi Burhan Baran and Hüseyin Zeybek, together with the imam of Basaykova village and Qur'an course teacher Hüseyin Imam.  

Mustafa Trampa, Mufti of Xanthi and the accompanying protocol members, who left Basaykova village early due to the fact that the hatim ceremonies were held in two villages on the same day, made a short greeting speech and congratulated the teacher who trained the students and the parents who entrusted their children to them.

BRATANKOVA

Mufti Trampa and the accompanying delegation then participated in the hatim ceremony organised in the village of Bratankova.

At the Bratankova Hatim ceremony, which was attended by a large number of participants, the Qur'an and poems recited by the students were listened with great appreciation.

After the ceremony, Mustafa Trampa, Mufti of Xanthi, performed the prayer.

After the prayer, Mufti Trampa made a greeting speech and emphasised the spirit of unity and solidarity of the community.

After Mufti Trampa, Ozan Ahmetoğlu, President of İTB, İrfan Hacıgene, Vice-President of the State, Ahmet Kurt, Mayor of Mustafçova, Burhan Baran, Independent MP for Xanthi and Hüseyin Zeybek, New Left MP for Xanthi made short welcoming speeches.

PLAQUE OF APPRECIATION

After the speeches, Hüseyin Dallı, who served as imam in Bratankova Mosque for many years, and Hamdi Karaosman, who served as assistant imam-muezzin, were awarded with a plaque of appreciation for their retirement. Mustafa Trampa, Mufti of Xanthi, presented the plaques to both religious officials.

Finally, Musa Vidinli, one of the candidates of the FEP Party for the EP, made a short speech.

After the souvenir photo, the guests were served pilaf with meat and ayran.
