Gümülcine Municipality pledges support for newly established occupational therapy department

Representatives of the newly established Occupational Therapy Department at the Faculty of Sports Sciences and Occupational Therapy, Democritus University of Thrace, visited Komotini Mayor Ioannis Garanis to discuss potential collaborations. The delegation included Department Chair Prof. Evangelos Bempetsos and faculty member Dr. Panagiotis Siaperas.

During the meeting, the department’s scientific and social initiatives were presented, and potential areas of cooperation between the university and the municipality were explored.

Mayor Garanis expressed his satisfaction at the establishment of a new academic unit in the city and pledged the municipality’s full support for the department’s educational and community initiatives.

The department representatives thanked the municipality for its collaborative approach and shared proposals for social projects that could benefit the local community.
