Fire breaks out near the village of Salmanli
A fire broke out near the village of Salmanli in the municipality of Maronia-Şapçı at 11.30 today. The fire started on the side of the road between Salmanli and Hacılar and within 50 metres of the houses, and the villagers immediately intervened with their own efforts.
However, in a short time, the fire brigade employees and vehicles of the Komotini Fire Brigade Directorate as well as the vehicles of the Maronya-Shapçı Municipality arrived at the scene. While the fire brigade employees supported the extinguishing efforts of the villagers on the ground, the fire was also intervened from the air by helicopter.
The rapid action in a short time and the extinguishing works were prevented from spreading to a wide area as well as preventing the fire from approaching the houses. The fire is completely extinguished as of now.
