Electric boat tours on Lake Borugölü (Vistonida) to officially launch in one month
Local residents and visitors will soon be able to explore Lake Borugölü aboard a state-of-the-art electric boat. As previously reported by EMPROS of İskeçe, the vessel’s maiden voyage took place on the morning of Wednesday, July 9, drawing enthusiastic feedback. The initiative was launched by boat owner and founder Charalampos "Babis" Chatzisavvas, who christened the boat near the Church of Agia Paraskevi.
Speaking to EMPROS, Mr. Chatzisavvas emphasized the vision behind the project and acknowledged the support of the Regional Authority and Deputy Regional Authority. He stressed the importance of collaboration between all stakeholders in achieving a positive outcome.
Revised Launch Date: August 31
Originally set to coincide with the Feast of Agia Paraskevi on July 26, the official start date for the tours has now been postponed to August 31, following discussions with the Cultural Association of Nea Kessani “Agia Paraskevi.”
“The celebration on July 25 took place in the town square, limiting access to the lake,” explained Mr. Chatzisavvas. “We now invite everyone to join us for a free tour on August 31 to mark the official launch.”
