Road accident in Xanthi: 55-year-old driver dies

A 55-year-old man died in a road accident on the 13th kilometre of the Xanthi-Porto Lagos motorway.
On Sunday, a fatal road accident occurred on the 13th kilometre of the Xanthi-Porto Lagos motorway. According to xanthinews, the 55-year-old driver's car went out of control and crashed into an electricity pole. As a result of this collision, the driver was seriously injured and died.
Fire brigades quickly arrived at the scene and intervened to rescue the driver who was trapped in the vehicle. However, the 55-year-old driver died on the way to Xanthi Hospital.
The Traffic Department of Xanthi, which started an investigation into the causes and circumstances of the accident, stated that the deceased driver was from Komotini.
