Consul General of Türkiye in Komotini, Aykut Ünal performed the Eid prayer at the Sunne Mosque in Xanthi, where Western Thrace Turks live densely.
Before the prayer, Mustafa Trampa, Mufti of Xanthi, made a speech indicating the meaning and importance of the day and congratulated everyone on Eid.
The Eid prayer was led by Cüneyt Tüccar, Religious Officer (imam) of Xanthi. After the Eid prayer, Consul General Ünal exchanged Eid greetings with Xanthi MP Hüseyin Zeybek, heads and executives of minority organisations and Xanthi cognates and chatted with them for a while.
