Eastern Macedonia and Thrace region completes review cycle in Kavala
The review cycle of the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace was concluded on Tuesday, July 8, in Kavala, marking the final stop of a tour that covered all regional units.
Regional Governor Christodoulos Topsidis presented projects and initiatives with a total budget of €118.25 million, aimed at strengthening infrastructure, supporting entrepreneurship, enhancing social cohesion, and improving daily life for residents.
The presentation was attended by key regional officials, including the Deputy Governor of Kavala, Theodoros Markopoulos; Deputy Governor for Development and Innovation, Alexandros Iosifidis; Deputy Governor for Tourism, Panagiotis Archontis; and Deputy Governor for Health and Family Policy, Giorgos Dalakouras. Regional councilors Stelios Ignatiadis (Sports and Employment) and Haris Dalkitzis (International Relations and Outreach) were also present.
Following the presentation, the delegation visited the VIKRE S.A. manufacturing facility in Amisiana. The company is receiving €633,858 in funding from the Region’s ESPA program for energy efficiency upgrades. The Region continues to support businesses that boost production, employment, and the local economy.
