Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Region allocates €30 million to Evros reconstruction plan
During his speech, Governor Topsidis highlighted the positive impact of aligning regional actions with the national strategy, emphasizing the close collaboration between the regional administration and all government ministries.
The reconstruction program includes a broad range of initiatives aimed at providing a significant boost to the development of Evros. These efforts are expected to enhance the profile of the Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Region in multiple ways.
Governor Topsidis expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister, government officials, and the members of the Special Reconstruction Committee for Evros, underscoring that the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace is fully committed to supporting the implementation of the plan. The region is already contributing €30 million to the proposed actions, with €20 million from EU funding (ESPA) and €10 million from the Public Investment Program (PPA).
The program is set to begin immediately, with the belief that positive outcomes will be visible in the near future.
