Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Governor meets Ukrainian delegation to explore cooperation with Donetsk Region
The Governor of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace (EMT), Christodoulos Topsidis, met with a Ukrainian delegation in Komotini to discuss potential cooperation with the Donetsk region of Ukraine.
The delegation was led by Dimitrios Dimitriadis, representative of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Greece; Kyrylo Kravchenko, President of the Association of Greeks of Ukraine in Greece; and Stephan Makhsma, President of the Hellenic Union of Ukraine.
Talks focused on developing dialogue and collaborative initiatives between EMT and Donetsk, headed by Governor Vadym Filashkin. Donetsk is home to the largest ethnic Greek community in Ukraine.
“We exchanged valuable information and proposals, exploring opportunities for joint initiatives in cultural, business, and institutional fields,” Topsidis said in a statement following the meeting.
