Deputy Mufti Fehim Ahmet's mother sent off on her last journey
Hanife Ahmet, mother of Deputy Mufti of Komotini Fehim Ahmet, was sent off on her last journey on Wednesday, June 14th.
A funeral ceremony was held for Hanife Ahmet at her home in Komotini on Wednesday after the afternoon prayer. First, prayers were made in her house and halal was asked.
Afterwards, Mufti of Komotini İbrahim Şerif made a short speech.
Hanife Ahmet, who died at the age of 82, was buried in Mastanlı Cemetery.
The funeral ceremony was attended by the Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Western Thrace Turkish Minority and the Mufti of Komotini, İbrahim Şefif, Deputy Consul Subutay Koç from the Turkish Consulate General in Komotini, the Rhodope Deputy Özgür Ferhat, Kozlukebir Mayor Rıdvan Ahmet, Kozlukebir mayoral candidates Tarkan Multaza and Erdem Hüseyin, Friendship Equal Peace Party Deputy Chairman Metin Hacıosman, Xanthi Turkish Union President Ozan Ahmetoğlu, Western Thrace Mosques Religious Officials Association President Sadık Sadık, Western Thrace Imam Hatip High School Graduate and Members Association President Mehmet Emin Ahmet and many relatives attended.
