DCT Trading partners with cotcast AI for enhanced AI-Powered cotton trading solutions
DCT Trading, owned by Western Thrace businessman Levent Sadık Ahmet, has announced a new partnership with Cotcast AI, an Artificial Intelligence Technology company. DCT Trading disclosed in a statement to the Public Disclosure Platform that it will acquire a 5% stake in Cotcast AI, whose shares began trading on the Istanbul Stock Exchange on July 31, 2024. This strategic investment reflects DCT Trading's vision of strengthening its commercial operations through next-generation digital technologies.
The company’s statement highlighted the value of Cotcast AI's predictive AI model for tracking price fluctuations in cotton, which is influenced by futures contracts on the New York Stock Exchange. “This partnership will provide invaluable data flow to enhance our commercial activities and minimize risks amidst price shifts,” DCT Trading noted.
Cotcast AI co-founders Emre Balduk and Ertuğrul Kazancı emphasized the significance of the partnership, stating, “Our collaboration with DCT Trading will expand Cotcast AI’s reach in the commercial sector. The integration of our AI-based predictive model for cotton trading marks a revolutionary step, and having DCT Trading utilize this model to optimize operations is an honor.”
Levent Sadık Ahmet, Chairman of DCT Trading, affirmed the investment's alignment with the company’s strategic goals, sharing, “With cotton comprising approximately 90% of our trade volume, this investment solidifies DCT Trading’s mission to transcend traditional agricultural trading by embracing and advancing digital technology in agriculture.”
