Abdullah Eren, President of Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB), who is originally from Western Thrace, congratulated the three Turkish mayors elected in Western Thrace.

Eren published a message of congratulation for Caner İmam, who was elected as the mayor of Yassıköy (Iasmos), Erdem Hüseyin of Kozlukebir (Arianna) and Ahmet Kurt of Mustafçova (Miki) municipalities.
YTB President Eren, who is of Western Thracian origin, used the following words in his post on his social media account:
"I congratulate Yassıköy Mayor Caner İmam, Kozlukebir Mayor Erdem Hüseyin and Mustafçova Mayor Ahmet Kurt, who were elected with the great support of the people in the local elections held in Western Thrace. May it be good for our compatriots!"
