Allowance for newly recruited doctors in Eastern Macedonia and Thrace hospitals
The Regional Council of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace (EMT) unanimously approved a financial support scheme for doctors working in regional public hospitals, following a proposal by the Regional Administration.
Under the decision, doctors who are newly recruited to the hospitals of Drama, İskeçe, Gümülcine, and Dimetoka will receive a monthly allowance of up to €300 for a period of two years. The scheme allows for the subsidization of up to 10 doctors per year.
Priority will be given to newly appointed medical staff in the following order: auxiliary (temporary) doctors, doctors in specialty training, and permanent doctors.
The initiative aims to strengthen staffing levels in regional hospitals and address ongoing shortages in medical personnel across Eastern Macedonia and Thrace.
