Greek police have solved 18 theft-related cases in the northern cities of İskeçe and Kavala, identifying six Greek nationals accused of acting together in a series of crimes committed between October and November 2025.

According to authorities, the suspects were linked to eight burglaries targeting retail stores, eight vehicle thefts, one theft of a protective helmet, and one attempted vehicle theft. A criminal case file has been compiled against them for aggravated theft offenses.

Following an extensive investigation by officers of the Public Safety Unit of the Kavala Crime Investigation Department, it was established that the group broke into eight shops, causing property damage and stealing cash, cigarette packs, and alcoholic beverages. The suspects also stole three motorcycles, one commercial vehicle, and four passenger cars, while unsuccessfully attempting to steal an additional passenger vehicle in one incident.

As part of the ongoing investigation, and in cooperation with police units from the Kavala Migration Management Department and the İskeçe Crime Investigation Department, authorities located and recovered the stolen vehicles, motorcycles, and the protective helmet. Clothing items and a flashlight were also seized as evidence.

The completed case file will be submitted to the Public Prosecutor of Kavala for further legal proceedings.
