ROKETSAN continues deliveries of TAYFUN ballistic and SOM cruise missiles
ROKETSAN announced that serial production and deliveries of the TAYFUN ballistic missile and SOM cruise missile are continuing as planned, underscoring Türkiye’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its defense capabilities.
In a statement shared on social media, the company said production and delivery processes for both systems are proceeding without interruption, highlighting their role in enhancing the deterrent power of the Turkish Armed Forces.
ROKETSAN CEO Murat İkinci stated that all stages of the systems—from design to production—bear the signature of Turkish engineering, with deliveries ongoing at full pace.
The TAYFUN missile, Türkiye’s longest-range domestically produced ballistic missile, is designed for high-precision strikes on strategic targets. Its rapid deployment capability, operational flexibility, and resistance to electronic warfare—including GPS jamming—enhance its effectiveness. Thanks to its hypersonic speed, it is less vulnerable to air defense systems.
The SOM cruise missile, with a range of 250 kilometers, is an air-launched system capable of engaging heavily defended land and naval targets from beyond enemy air defense zones. Compatible with both manned and unmanned aerial platforms, it can be configured with various warheads and is effective against strategic facilities, air defense systems, ships, and fortified positions.
