Applications started for the 'Support Programme for Cognate Literature'
Applications for the Cognate Literature Support Programme (SEDEP), which was established to contribute to the preservation and transfer of Turkish national identity in different geographies to future generations, can be made between 5 January - 5 April 2024.
In the statement made by YTB regarding the programme, the following statements were made "Within the scope of SEDEP, which is prepared with the aim of encouraging cultural production in the geographies where the cognate communities with whom we have historical and cultural ties live, financial support will be provided to writers, literary writers, academicians, folk artists, NGOs, universities and other relevant institutions operating abroad in order to support the production activities of literary and cultural works, to translate the works written for the promotion of Turkish culture and literature on a global scale into various languages and to ensure the printing and promotion of these works."
Within the framework of SEDEP, it is planned to provide support under 4 headings: writing, translation, printing and promotion. The supports will be as follows:
WRITING SUPPORT
It is a type of support given to authors residing in cognate geographies to produce literary works that support cultural interaction between Türkiye and cognate communities, protect and support the language and culture of cognate communities, and examine current problems with the aim of raising awareness on a global scale.
TRANSLATION SUPPORT
It is the financial support provided for the translation of literary works of authors belonging to cognate communities into Turkish or other world languages.
PRINTING SUPPORT
It is a financial support provided for the printing and publication of literary works of authors belonging to cognate communities.
PUBLICITY SUPPORT
Financial support provided for events such as signing days, panels and symposiums to be organised in order to promote the literary works of writers belonging to cognate communities.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
Candidates can make their applications by filling out the application form electronically and uploading additional documents.
