Olympiakos beats PAOK, Panathinaikos shocked by Lamia

Olympiakos has maintained its two-point advantage over AEK at the top of the Super League table, thanks to its home win against PAOK, while Panathinaikos suffered the season’s biggest upset, going down at bottom team Lamia.
The Reds missed many chances at the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium, but still saw off PAOK 2-1 on Sunday.
Brazilian Rodinei opened the score with a free kick, former Olympiakos midfielder Mady Camara brought PAOK back on level terms, but Babis Kostoulas ensured the Piraeus team remained alone on top with his shot on the 31st minute.
AEK defeated 10-man Asteras at Tripoli 3-0 on Sunday. It had Mijat Gacinovic, Niclas Eliasson and Frantzdy Pierrot to thank for this precious win at the league’s sixth-placed team.
Lamia scored only its first home win of the season, upsetting Panathinaikos with a 3-1 score. A brace by Gustavo Furtado after Aaron Tshibola’s opener sealed victory for the hosts that has given them an unlikely hope for staying up. Panathinaikos had temporarily equalized with Filip Djuricic.
In other weekend games, OFI won 3-1 at Athens Kallithea, Levadiakos came from behind to down host Volos 2-1, Aris overcame Panetolikos with a 2-1 score and Atromitos edged out Panserraikos 1-0.
Olympiakos paces the Super League with 54 points, AEK follows with 52, Panathinaikos stayed on 46, PAOK has 43, Aris reached 40 and Asteras remained on 35.
