Olympiakos claimed a 2-0 victory over visiting AEK in Sunday’s derby, keeping the pressure on Super League leader PAOK, who also won at home.

Ayoub El Kaabi opened the scoring from the penalty spot, and Mehdi Taremi added a second with a header, giving Olympiakos its first derby win of the season after earlier draws and defeats. The win came just days after a heavy 6-1 loss at Barcelona in European competition.

On the debut of legendary manager Rafa Benitez at Panathinaikos, the Greens beat Asteras Tripolis 2-0. Karol Swiderski converted a penalty, and an own goal by Julian Chicco sealed the win, earning the former Liverpool coach a warm reception from fans.

Other weekend results included:

Larissa 2-0 Panserraikos (first win of the season)
