Galatasaray breaks $352M mark, becoming Türkiye’s most valuable football club
According to the latest update from the football data platform Transfermarkt, Galatasaray raised its squad value to €305 million ($357 million) after an active summer transfer window.
The club spent €148 million ($173 million) on transfer fees during the 2025 summer window, placing it 14th worldwide among clubs with the highest spending. This investment made Galatasaray the first team in Türkiye’s Süper Lig to surpass the €300 million threshold. Turkish Super Lig is Türkiye’s top-tier football league, similar in status to the Premier League in England or La Liga in Spain.
Fenerbahce closes in on the top
Fenerbahce, one of Galatasaray’s long-standing rivals, also reinforced its squad with several new signings. The club’s updated squad value now stands at €292 million ($342 million), placing it very close behind Galatasaray in the national rankings.
Mixed fortunes for other leading clubs
Besiktas, another member of Türkiye’s “big three,” recorded the sharpest decline. The Istanbul club saw its total value fall from €178 million ($208 million) to €168 million ($197 million), making it the biggest loser in terms of market worth among the top teams.
Trabzonspor, representing the Black Sea region, moved in the opposite direction. The club increased its value from €99.65 million ($117 million) to €103 million ($121 million), strengthening its position within the league.
The wider picture in the Turkish Super Lig
Outside of the traditional powerhouses, Istanbul Basaksehir ranked fifth with a squad value of €75 million ($88 million). Samsunspor reached €50 million ($59 million), marking the most expensive squad in its history. Rizespor, Goztepe, Antalyaspor, Gaziantep FK, and Eyupspor followed with values ranging between €30 million ($35 million) and €44 million ($52 million).
Other mid-table clubs include Kocaelispor at €29 million ($34 million), as well as Alanyaspor and Konyaspor at €28 million ($33 million) each. At the lower end of the league, Genclerbirligi was valued at €26 million ($30 million), Kayserispor at 23 million ($27 million), Fatih Karagumruk at €20 million ($23 million), and Kasimpasa at €19 million ($22 million).
