World Environment Day message from Tsepelis
East Macedonia Thrace Waste Management Development Company (DİAAMATH.AAE) Chairman of the Board, Mayor of Xanthi Manolis Tsepelis, published a message on the occasion of June 5, World Environment Day.
In his message, Tsepelis invited all citizens to give importance to recycling and environmental cleaning.
Noting that protecting the environment is everyone's duty and responsibility, Tsepelis reminded that recycling both protects the environment and saves energy.
In his message, Tsepelis summarized as follows:
“June 5th has been declared as World Environment Day by the United Nations to protect the environment, raise awareness and take action. The slogan of 2022 Environment Day has been determined as ‘One World Only’. The world is our only home. It needs protection.
We believe that every individual and society contributes to the preservation of our Earth.
It is important to be able to make this a way of life. All our efforts are for this.
Reducing waste is possible with your contribution to our recycling effort.
It is up to us to separate and recycle our cardboard, paper, plastic, metal and glass waste.
There are blue recycling bins in all our provinces. In this way, we can remember the World Environment Day every day and contribute to the protection of the environment by recycling our waste."
