Efforts of Tsepelis to build a school in Serinmahalle (Drosero)

Xanthi Mayor Manolis Tsepelis asked for help from the education ministry to build a primary school building in Serinmahalle (Drosero).
Having made contacts in Athens, Tsepelis visited Deputy Minister of Education Angelos Sirigos in his office.
Mayor Tsepelis requested the municipality to allocate the land of the sports complex (which is now in ruins) previously built by Mr. Emfiecoğlu on a land that seems to belong to the Ministry of Education, for the construction of the primary school building.
Tsepelis also requested support from Sirigos for the purchase of a land in Gazhane (Petreleoapthikon) District by the municipality and the construction of a Junior high school.
In the statement made regarding the contacts of Tsepelis in Athens, it was stated that the Mayor of Xanthi, Manolis Tsepelis, met with the Deputy Minister of Education Angelos Sirigos in Athens .
It was noted that the two exchanged views about the construction of primary and secondary school buildings in Serinmahalle.
In the statement, which stated that there has been an increase in the number of children attending compulsory education in recent years, it was stated that Deputy Minister of Education Angelos Sirigos responded positively to the demands of Mayor Tsepelis.
However, information was not shared about whether the primary and secondary school planned to be established would be Minority schools or not.
Manolis Tsepelis also took initiatives before the relevant ministries for the construction of a playground for the region.
