The Greek Prime Minister's Office and the Communications Directorate of the Turkish Presidency issued statements on the meeting between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on the sidelines of the NATO Summit in Lithuania.

Two concrete decisions were taken at the meeting held today (Wednesday 12 July) in Vilnius.

During the meeting, it was stated that an agreement was reached to activate multiple communication channels between Türkiye and Greece.

It was also stated that Turkish President Erdoğan and Greek Prime Minister Mitsotakis agreed to hold the High Level Cooperation Council meeting between the two countries in Thessaloniki in autumn.

During the one-hour meeting between Erdoğan and Mitsotakis in Vilnius, it was stated that the two leaders agreed that it is in the interest of both countries that the positive atmosphere between Türkiye and Greece, which has developed in recent months, has continuity and consistency.
