The Turkish Film Days, organized by Türkiye's Ministry of Culture and Tourism in collaboration with the Turkish Consulate General in Thessaloniki, commenced in Thessaloniki, Greece.

The two-day event showcases a selection of Turkish films to Greek audiences.

The opening gala featured screenings of The Line of Hesitation by director Selman Nacar and Life by Zeki Demirkubuz. On the second day, films The Last Harvest by Cemil Ağacıkoğlu and A Better Tomorrow by Emre Kavuk will also be presented.

Turkish Consul General Serkan Gedik expressed his delight at the second edition of the event, noting the strong cultural ties between northern Greece, especially Thessaloniki, and Türkiye. He highlighted the mutual interest in tourism, with an increase in both Turkish tourists visiting Greece and Greek tourists traveling to Türkiye.

Director Cemil Ağacıkoğlu emphasized the power of art to bridge gaps between nations, stating, "Art serves as a unifying force, transcending political challenges."

Director Emre Kavuk also mentioned the popularity of Turkish television series in Greece, remarking on how they inspire cultural curiosity and connection.

The event, supported by Turkey's Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Cultural and Promotion Office of the Turkish Embassy in Athens, drew many film enthusiasts, including members of the Western Thrace Turkish community.
