Turkish and Greek tourism professionals meet in Thessaloniki

Tourism professionals from Turkey and Greece convened in Thessaloniki for a workshop aimed at enhancing bilateral tourism cooperation. The event was organized by the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Türkiye Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA), in collaboration with the Turkish Hoteliers Association (TÜROB), the Hellenic Association of Travel and Tourist Agencies (HATTA), and the Federation of Hellenic Associations of Tourist & Travel Agencies (FedHATTA).
HIGH-LEVEL PARTICIPATION
The workshop opened with speeches by Serkan Gedik, Consul General of Turkey in Thessaloniki; Prof. Dr. Veli Aydın, Culture and Tourism Counsellor in Athens; Zeynep Üçok Çelikağ, Country Marketing Director at TGA; TÜROB President Müberra Eresin; and the presidents of both HATTA and FedHATTA.
BILATERAL MEETINGS AND FUTURE COLLABORATIONS
During the event, representatives of Turkish hotels and travel agencies held one-on-one (B2B) meetings with their Greek counterparts. Discussions focused on potential business collaborations and the development of joint tourism projects to strengthen ties between the two neighboring countries.
CULTURAL PRESENTATION
The workshop concluded with a screening of Türkiye’s promotional films and a reception featuring selected dishes from Turkish cuisine. The second leg of the promotional initiative is scheduled to take place today in Athens.
